This page or section is unfinished.

JD-GUI is an open sourced Java 8 decompiler, it's fast for big files which is why it's used by many, but the decompilation process has been surpassed by many modern decompilers, such as Procyon, CFR, FernFlower or Krakatau.

How to use

Install Java, then launch the JAR from the tools page:

java -jar jd-gui-1.6.6.jar

Use File > Open File or drag a .jar or .class file into the window. Expand the package tree and select a class to read its reconstructed source.

Based on the official README.
