JAD (JAva Decompiler) is an outdated Java 5 decompiler, it's fast for big files which is why it's used by many, but the decompilation process has been surpassed by many modern decompilers, such as Procyon, CFR, FernFlower or Krakatau. The homepage is http://varaneckas.com/jad/

How to use

For an existing JAD installation, run jad without arguments to inspect the bundled command help. A typical single-class invocation is:

jad Example.class

Read the generated .jad source file. This is a legacy decompiler; use the tools page to find current alternatives when modern class files are unsupported. The original publisher's documentation is offline, so check your package's README before using additional switches.
