Smali/BakSmali is an Android APK Disassembler/Assembler. It's used to modify the Bytecode of the Android DEX files.

How to use

Use executable smali and baksmali distributions, with Java installed. Substitute the filenames of your executable JARs:

java -jar baksmali.jar disassemble classes.dex -o smali-out
java -jar smali.jar assemble smali-out -o rebuilt.dex

Read or edit the .smali files between those steps. For the Google fork, build the executable fat JARs as described in its README; the ordinary Maven library JARs are not a standalone launcher. Run your executable JAR without arguments for version-specific help.
